look at the horns

beneath the peaks of the rif mountains in northwest morocco, the blue washed village chefchaouen is one of the most fascinating villages i have ever seen. the buildings and houses all around the village are rinsed in various shades of blue, giving this village a serene sense. the vivid colours of woven carpets, ceramic pots, rich flowers and plants and charming paintings give a stunning contrast against the indigo blue walls. at nightfall the soft, yellow streetlights in the narrow alleys of the medina shimmer, giving the walls a purple glow. the colour blue represents the sky and the sea, it gives a sense of freedom, sensitivity, friendliness and calmness - this all you can feel back in the atmosphere of chefchaouen.
