the zanzibar beach and water sports festival

mfumbwi beach, jambiani. it stays one of my most favourite beaches on the island. this may has to do with the fact that this was the very first beach i reached after arriving on zanzibar for the first time in 2015. it may has to do with the constantly changing views and environment, depending on which time of the day, which season, and during which moon you find yourself there. it may has to do with the people, the villagers, the lifestyle. it may has to do with the zanzibar beach & watersports festival, held annually on this tiny beach on the south east coast. beach life, culture, music, food, dance, handcrafts, sustainibility, workshops, education, smiles and laughter - every year you find this all in one during this three days festival. here you might encounter the biggest diversity of people on the island. villagers, east african residents, tourists and stranded travellers connect, enjoy, dance, eat, swim, smile, learn, and share.
